Initiative Petition 10 is an effort to let voters vote on whether or not Oregon should toll EXISTING freeway infrastructure.
IP-10 is led by three chief petitioners who believe Oregon voters should have a right to vote on tolls and transportation fees that impact drivers who use our state's highway and interstate system.
Mike Nearman is an Oregon State Representative from Independence, Oregon who is serving a 3rd term in the Oregon House of Representatives. As a lawmaker, Mike voted NO on HB 2017, the transportation package that allowed the state to consider implementing freeway tolls.
Julie Parrish is a former Oregon State Representative from West Linn, Oregon. She served four terms in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2011-2019. During that time, she served on the House Committee on Transportation and the Columbia River Crossing Joint Committee. She also voted NO on HB 2017.
Les Poole is a Clackamas County Planning Commissioner who is concerned about how freeway tolls will impact Clackamas residents, a majority of whom will be disproportionately impacted as they commute outside of Clackamas for their jobs.
